East Coast Adoptions Needs Fosters
Every year, thousands of dogs need to go in to foster homes during their transition from rescue dog to family dog
There are never enough foster homes available to help rescues save all the dogs in need, and each year, 1.2 million dogs are euthanized in the US every year due to lack of homes.
By fostering dogs, you can help rescues save more dogs from a pointless death – and help more dogs on their way to happy lives with new families.
Fostering is a great way to help a dog in need. There is a huge chance that the particular dog that needs a foster would not have made it out of the shelter he/she came from alive if we didn't have fosters to take them in until we find forever homes for them. Most fosters end up fostering for an average of 2 weeks, but anywhere between a few days and about a month is possible.
Fostering is also a great way to see if you are ready to adopt a dog. If you decide you are ready to adopt you are always welcome to adopt the dog you are fostering.
So... Are you ready to become a foster and save a life?
